Stüssy: Monochrome & Stripes

Here’s how I styled my one of my newest additions to my wardrobe: the Stüssy monochrome striped long sleeve, originally bought from ASOS but I think it’s sold out now!

I paired this with some black corduroy kick flares from Urban Outfitters, Black Nike socks and Black Old Skool Vans!

Grey Camo

Repping some grey camo in the basement. Co-ord is from Missguided but sold out in most sizes a lot of the time. I reeeeally liked the grey and red so if you can get your hands on it – do!

Pictures taken by Dan Pipe at DJ Haus x Mele x DJ BORING House Party, hosted by Defected Records – with my boys at The Mannequin Collective’s crib.

Exploring The Saatchi Gallery in my 80s Red Bomber

This faux leather red bomber is soo dank. I’m loving the 80s vibe the jacket emits, paired with the retro, oversized black oval sunglasses. Both items from ASOS by the way! I matched this piece with an all black outfit because, as you can probably tell, I love a pop of colour. This outfit works particularly well – in my opinion – because the red jacket really appears to be the statement piece in this fit. The colour appears more vibrant amongst the black, but white would work well too.

I got a size 8 because, although the bomber is oversized anyway, I wanted it particularly big! Jess Woodley is a huge style inspiration of mine, and she pulls off a huge vintage black leather bomber so well.

Yooo, I saw the Ragged Priest Spring Summer ’17 drop in June (I think? Was time ago) and loved their new pink “Hustler” sweat. However, I was on ASOS adding stuff to my saved items list when I also came across the exact same sweat with a different slogan on instead. If you didn’t know, ASOS have free delivery over orders of £20 and student discount. In addition, I had collected enough points to get a £10 voucher; it made so much more sense to buy the sweat off there!

In love!!!!! It’s got my name written all over it (literally ;-)). Pink is my ting (and just about every other blogger’s lol) and I was so excited to style it in my own unique way.

I matched the sweat with a black distressed a-line denim skirt from Missguided, black fishnets and a black faux leather eyelet choker (also from Missguided). Oh, and some black Vans. I paired the garm with black because I really wanted the pop of colour to stand out in the photography. Sunnies are from Depop!

Shout out to my g Lily for helping me with the shoot. She is so sick, check out her Instagram: lilycraigenphotography 💯

Also, I’ve never actually owned something from Ragged Priest because it can be too much p for my minimal student funds. Honestly. Quality is amazing tho and the clothes are so unique, so I can see why they are able to charge a reasonable amount of money. Stock is limited and the garms are made with such care.

Anyway, enjoy! And don’t forget to follow my social media:

A Pop of Colour

Hellooooo – here are photos of my most recent purchases from Urban Outfitters, matched with (finally) a new tee from Stussy’s SS17 new stuff. I tucked the tee in to the high-waisted mini skirt and threw on some fishnets to finish off the look.

There was a yellow denim skirt from Topshop which I had my eye on for ages, but they never had my size in stock, so I found this lime-coloured skirt, with a cute white stitch, which I ended up loving even more – so I had to buy it! (there’s me trying to justify purchases with white stitching… okurrrr b)

I had also been searching for a red mini backpack for ages, and I couldn’t find one apart from a vintage one which was selling on Depop. However, I was reluctant to buy it because I was determined to try it on with an outfit before buying, when I came across this one from Urban Outfitters. Dickies is such a good quality brand and very affordable – I love it eeee.

Thanks for reading!

Teddy Bear Fit

As promised, I said I would continue with a sweatshirt series and here’s the new addition! Yum yum new garm from Topshop; found it in the branded section called “Glamourous” online. I was torn between this brown Teddy Bear coloured sweat or the pale, off-white colour! I couldn’t buy both so I figured this brown would look cleaner for longer.

I love it – it’s soo warm and cosy! I got a size Medium because I love an oversized fit jumper.

Unfortunately I can’t find the original link but here is the white and a new grey colour I’ve just found since last looking at Topshop’s site:

I think this item will last me for ages – it’s a timeless piece and a comfy sweat will never go out of fashion. If I wanted to sell it on my Depop page, I can imagine that the re-sale price would be the same as the original (if not, more) because these Teddy Bear fabrics are so in at the moment. Ever since H&M came out with that classic Teddy Bear jacket which went out of stock so quickly, I have seen people selling their’s on eBay and Depop for £100 when it was bought at around £35 in store and online. Madness!

Defected Store Collaboration

I’ve teamed up with Defected Store – the clothing/merchandise line for Defected Records – to bring you guys some of their clothes, accessories and albums. When they kindly asked me to pick out some garms and items, these are the ones which stood out the most…

I chose the men’s items, purely because I prefer an oversized fit. However, there is also the choice to buy women’s if you prefer a smaller fit! You can see I have tucked in my sweatshirt and tshirts; although you don’t need to do this. I just thought it looked most flattering with mom jeans and cigarette pants.
